We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means we decide why and how your data is used, and we are responsible for protecting it.

If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your data, contact us at awards@thepeopleseatingawards.com.

We keep this deliberately minimal. When you sign up to vote in the Awards, we collect:

We do not collect your name unless this is identifiable from your email address, phone number, postal address, date of birth, payment details, or any special category data (such as health, religion, or political opinions), unless you voluntarily include such information in a message you send us.

We will not transfer your personal data to any service providers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

  • Technical anti-fraud logs: deleted within 90 days of the close of voting.
  • Correspondence you send us: kept for up to 24 months after the matter is resolved.

After these periods, all personal data will be destroyed.

  • Rectification โ€” have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Erasure โ€” ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten"). It may be that your request for deletion cannot be met, if there are overriding legal reasons. If this is the case, you will be notified accordingly.

  • Portability โ€” receive your data in a structured, commonly used machine-readable format.
